Downtown San Diego is a rapid growing urban metropolis with incredible bay views and spectacular vistas. It is home to nearly 30,000 residence, with a predicted population growth of 90,000 by 2030. But, with an increasing population and an unstable economy, comes an escalating poverty-stricken community as well. The homeless population in downtown San Diego has increased in recent years. Addressing homelessness in such a vibrant city is critical to the prosperity and future of San Diego.
